I use this one(Notepad++) for almost 2 years...Since then I just stick with it..Got nice plugin...But for ordinary HTML, CSS and PHP editing.. This is enough

For those already 'lekat' dengan old-skool Notepad, then this one should suite them better...Lot of kaler ma, pink pun ada Notepad++

i second seanie. vim / gvim is an excellent tool. put plain and simple, vim saves you a LOT of time. all the pros use it (those who don't probably use textmate). and, it's standard on absolutely all unix-based operating systems.

    zend is the best.
if you work on a dedicated server with over 100 of accounts, zend is the way.

I love the search function. its just like grep

    Thumbs up EmEditor

I am using EmEditor. It is an advanced text editor which support text coloring on many languages other than PHP. The feature may not new for other advanced text editor but another good thing about EmEditor is that it consumes less memory.
