Thread: Send Details to my mail..HELP

er..is there anyway after ppl fill up the form and then when they press the submit button..then it will auto send details to my form? anyways? i tried this way but can't

because HTML and javascript cannot send email..

that script only send email IF u're using outlook.. or the surfer use email program.. and online..

normal surfer / netters.. not use email rogram.. they use web email..
so ur form mean nothing..

to send mail from a website.. php, cgi, cfm asp can do it..

you need server side scripting language (php, perl, asp, jsp etc.) to save it on the server as well. according to links from this page http://help.lycos.com/tripod/t_q_27.asp , they do provide perl, as well as sendmail though, whether it's available for free plan user or not, that's what you need to find out. if it's available for free plan user, you can check out their script library, i believe they have pre-written sendmail script over there.

I have a script that does just that, but its in PHP. As the previous poster has stated, the function you described is only possible by server-side scripts, of which PHP is the most common.

buttt.. i'm not really sure the email function is ON or OFF
so try search perl send email script at www.hotscripts.com

try formmail.pl. it send to your email, usually a webhost has formmail package inside

html cannot send mail.
but can make A FORM then submit --> process by the formmail.pl --> addressed mail box..

SO! what u need is.. learn HTML that create form complete with the SEND button ..
so how to create a FORM in HTML --> NO FREE WAY instead learn the HTML!
