HTML is the basic things webmaster need to know. Then proceed to css, dhtml, javascript, php, etc...

But, you can make website without html knowledge by using software like microsoft frontpage.. no need to type code and html script, becoz that kind of software are using WYSIWYG ( what you see is what you get) system...

Nowaday, people just use php and CMS software like Joomla and drupal to make website...

    hi,

html is the static page you can't add anything during runtime. but the dhtml is the dynamic html the name itself describes about it. we can change the values during runtime.

    Hi,

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the actual markup language web pages are displayed in. It creates static content on a web page.
DHTML is not a language but a technology. It stands for Dynamic HTML and it's using HTML, CSS and Javascript together to create web pages that are not static displays only, but the content is actually dynamic in response to what a visitor does on a page. Hope it will help you.

    Thank you

The difference is primarily HTML is a markup language, but DHTML is not a language.
In HTML, there is no need for database connectivity, but may require DHTML to connect to the database because it interacts with the user.

HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and DHTML is a Dynamic HTML. HTML is basically a markup language used for creating tags. But DHTML is not a language, DHTML is a web standard.!!

DHTML is used to create interactive and animated web pages that are generated in real-time, also known as dynamic web pages so that when such a page is accessed, the code within the page is analyzed on the web server and the resulting HTML is sent to the client’s web browser.DHTML stands for Dynamic HTML, it is totally different from HTML. The browsers which support the dynamic HTML are some of the versions of Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer of version higher than 4.0. The DHTML is based on the properties of the HTML, javascript, CSS, and DOM (Document Object Model which is used to access individual elements of a document) which helps in making dynamic content. It is the combination of HTML, CSS, JS, and DOM. The DHTML make use of Dynamic object model to make changes in settings and also in properties and methods. It also makes uses of Scripting and it is also part of earlier computing trends.

    Difference between HTML and DHTML:

->HTML is a markup language while DHTML is a collection of technologies.
->HTML is used to create static webpages while DHTML is capable of creating dynamic webpages.
->DHTML is used to create animations and dynamic menus but HTML not used.
->HTML sites are slow upon client-side technologies whereas DHTML sites are comparatively faster.
->Web pages created using HTML are rather simple and have no styling as it uses only one language whereas DHTML uses HTML, CSS, and Javascript which results in a much better and way more presentable webpage.
->HTML cannot be used as server side code but DHTML used as server side code.
->DHTML needs database connectivity but not in case of HTML.
->Files in HTML are stored using .htm or .html extension while DHTML uses .dhtm extension.
->HTML requires no processing from the browser but DHTML does.

DHTML allows different scripting languages in a web page to change their variables, which enhance the effects, looks and many others functions after the whole page have been fully loaded or under a view process, or otherwise static HTML pages on the same. But in true ways, there is noting that as dynamic in DHTML, there is only the enclosing of different technologies like CSS, HTML, JS, DOM, and different sets of static languages which make it as dynamic.

    Hi,
The following are the difference between HTML & DHTML

--> HTML is a mark-up language, while DHTML is a collection of technology.
--> DHTML creates dynamic web pages, whereas HTML creates static web pages.
--> DHTML allows including small animations and dynamic menus in Web pages.
--> DHML used events, methods, properties to insulate dynamism in HTML Pages.
--> DHML is basically using JavaScript and style sheets in an HTML page.
--> HTML sites will be slow upon client-side technologies, while DHTML sites will be fast enough upon client-side technologies.
--> HTML creates a plain page without any styles and Scripts called as HTML. Whereas, DHTML creates a page with HTML, CSS, DOM and Scripts called as DHTML.
--> HTML cannot have any server side code but DHTML may contain server side code.
--> In HTML, there is no need for database connectivity, but DHTML may require connecting to a database as it interacts with user.
--> HTML files are stored with .htm or .html extension, while DHTML files are stored with .dhtm extension.
--> HTML does not require any processing from browser, while DHTML requires processing from browser which changes its look and feel.
