    well, in the matter of SEO, you don't really need to utilise all the H1-H6, I guess having 1 or 2 is already enough.

    ul/li seriously really very pain when doin it. sometimes it just wont behave as u wanted it to be :P

    well, other than h1 for the site title and h2 for the page title, i often use h3 - h5, occasionally h6 if it got a lot of sub-session, and those tag i will use for the header of these sub-session

    It is known to everyone that the most important heading is H1, followed by h2, h3, and so on. There's a debate where H1 is not suppose to go with site title, instead, you use h1 on your page title. It's up to you to decide, because after all, your site looks changes when you apply CSS. I will be changing my site structure to implement the idea of using H1 as page title instead of site title.

    The ul/li tags isn't that painful to use, just make sure you reset its style and restyle in from scratch. It is a good idea to do CSS Resets before you attempt to style your webpage. I use CSS Resets on my soon-to-be-live websites, and it helps a lot when applying styles to your site.

    Drupal

    In other perspective, Drupal is highly themeable especially with so many modules out there. Most FREE themes are CSS-based.

    what an interesting thread....alot of ppl can learn from here.
    I guess css (div tag) is a standard for Web 2.0 instead of table.
    Is juz that u need to get use to it. and the image slicing will b different as well.

    CSS rule!

    ohh very interesting topic...

    hehe..when i first started web design, of coz i use tables although that time css was already used but merely for styling je lah not layout..that was i think 1998? 1999? if im not mistaken lah..i cud have been wrong..

    then when css started to be widely used for layout..im like alah, why do i need it for as long as my site looks good...blabla..i was the normal "lazy to adapt to new things" person

    BUTTT.. now im a slave to CSS! addicted to it. and cant live without it. lol..

    like mysticmind said, ul and li was the hardest to adapt to..but once u do, it makes everything else a lot easier.. the rule is like GeminiGeek said, just reset the default style..and then restyle it wherever u used them in ur site..

    one thing i wish im better at is naming and organizing my css file.. usually i'd write all the basic layout first.. and then i'd do the styling for each div.. something like this

    #header { }
    #menu { }
    #sidebar { }
    #footer { }

    /* #header stuff */
    .logo { }
    and so on...

    how do you guys code your css eh?

    yup, me too styled all the general things first such as header, footer and general font behavior also resetting all the margin and padding, then only proceed to the actual css styling according to the needs

    normally i use the div#header { } instead of just #header { }

    Theming in Drupal is easy but ...

    knowing CSS is a great advantages. I am still have a lot to learn especially to make them looks the same across variuus browsers.

    yipguseng, have you done any theming for Drupal? Unlike Joomla, very few companies is focus on Drupal Theme? even in templateMonster.com
    Hope we can work together ...

    I use both tables and CSS, but I use more CSS for verall styling. Designing table-less CSS layouts is my favourite because sometimes, tables mess my page up.

    Hello guy, I'm a beginner for web programming.
    I just learn it for few month only.
    Every time I design the web layout by using table, I noticed that the position of the image inside the table will run away from what I'm expect. For example, I want to make a rounded table. I put the four image inside the table right left top bottom; it's position will run off according to the screen resolution. What could I do to fix this problem?

    Is that the <div> CSS will face on this problem also?

    Hope I can get the solution here.

    Thanks.
