Thread: Restoring Google PR

let says our website been penilised by google for selling links like TLA and droped our PR.

But after we remove all these selling links from our website... does google restore back the PR?
Anyway we can restore the PR in a faster way?

you can restore your pr but sad to say not in a faster way because you have to link build your site again

My personal blog , is less than 4 month.. er.. the new domain.. hehe. the content imported from the old one. Just get PR2 then...

I've requested reconsideration for one of my blog and within 8 days, my PR was back!

i am also one of those victims of PR slapping (imagine from PR 4 down to unranked) i will try to write Google to reconsider my blog

Sometimes i hate to talk about PR, moreover it related with payperpost. Right now my site already been slapped from PR3 to PR0 since last year. So im not arguing about this since im also participate with ppp. However to think of how dirty google treat us..argh..make me tension..

Who cares about PR. People get slapped for valid reasons. PR is nothing more then that green bar that only webmaster care about.

I agree. As long as you gain your site listed with Google and get visible there for your keywords, PR won't matter.

Actually, search engine ranking is what directly helps you the most.

well, the best way is using "Request reconsideration tools" provided by google...

just log into your Google Webmaster Tools (you need to create account if you don't have one)

after that, at the dashboard... you'll see the 'request consideration' link at the right side.

but, before you do that, please remove all the paid links at your site.

it's not true, PR is one of the factors to be considered if your site is credible aside from traffic and backlinks

I have keep on request last time, and request many time... at last... google give me back PR2 from PR0

most of the advertiser need publish to give them follow link, is stated in their requirement.

I personally think, as a ethical blogger, I should give them follow link, because we already get paid to do so!

My PR has dropped to 0 too. Not sure if I should quit Text Link Ads.

The thing is, advertisers want to advertise on sites with high page rank to pass link juice back to their sites. But if we do it, we risk losing our page rank anyway. Catch 22 situation.

I have a friend, maintain PR, don write any paid post nor sell text link. did not earn any thing from the website.

I was asking him maintain the PR for what? Show off ah?


There are very complicated for us, low PR no high income, google seen like don want us to make money from our website

I think.. it's not only about TLA, myself slapped with PR0 too..
now restoring back.. but some are far below the previous one.
