yes, i suppose to get my check 2 month ago, but till now also no news... really sad about this
did you guys contacted their company staff for the payment?????
i also take down some of their banner at Pergh Forum and replace it with nuffnang![]()
I also had about RM200.++ inside it.. and, i really dont understand on their cpm cpc calculation.. the last time i had about RM3 for 5K - 8K impression.. but the.. i only had RM0.15 for it..and the click so.
Many bloggers giving bad comment for advertlets... If josh lim still wanna make this better, take serious action on it.. Else, advertlet just a history later.
Okay!.. now im giving nuffnang more chances.. let see..

so its d end for blog ads? obviously they try to keep Urs commissions as low as possible to save their ass, mayb their marketin failed to brin in new advertisers anyhow they shld gv U guys a gd reason on da commission calculation drop, btw wen im typin tis I got a 6 mths delayed commissions too from my job, let we hug & cry
as i understood, they allowed all kind of site.. including forum..
what was ads only for blog?
* actually, i dont get it.. if I want to advertise.. i don't care what kind of site it is, either blog / forum / portal site.. as long as it has much traffic... and people saw and click my ads.. RIGHT? or they think traffic mean nothing?.
Not talking about breaking the TOS here.. but BEND the TOS.. hehe..
Ads without traffic, without enough impression is useless and nothing..
Anyway.. take look at my printscreen of adverlets account..
Aiyah.. image too big to display
After i cashout RM100 (remain unpaid for 2 month ).. the impression commission DROP LIKE HELL!.. (and i also dont get the figure how does their cpc work). Then i started to think negatively.. (and i believe many other bloggers too).. If they dont paid me only = RM200 is fine.. but what if there's 20 or 100 people like me unpaid..
RM300 x 100 bloggers = RM30,000 okay.. that's a bit lots of money lah...
Hurmmm...
I dont contact them.. because just read all around the blog (many).. most email ignored or only replied after 2 or 3 day..
Just fedup..
but i still wish they can do something before it's too late..

Actually Im not very well experience into these ads services so I thought it might b da main idea & concept tools build from them to help bloggers to earn money and also to help advertisers
Mayb their calculation hv flaws? So hv to rebuild
i got a commission module which hv been study for several mths but I stil can't get it into production cos it stil risky, its all about money & I was wanted to terminate it b4.
yup, the system.. and the money..
both risky..
Erm.. i won't totally blame on them. Because i do knew the matters related.
And i won't biased any, as a profesional (self declared hehe) person in this web world, we had to be honest and technically based by the situation.
If we talkin about system, as we know.. even google had many problem with their system before.. and 'fraud clickin' problem myth still around. If we lookin in advertlet.. wth advertlets vs google right? advertlet only small company.. google can hire master programer , so.. the skillfully staff itself is headache. Most of the power programer must to be paid with large sum of money / salary.
And as we knew, malaysian mentality themself.. like to doing cheatin , easy money bla bla bla.. hack the code etc.. It wasnt easy in any way.
And then.. when we talking about money... after all problem above appear.. maybe some of advertiser also WONT PAY. Getting money from people is also Suck big time. As i myself doing freelances, most of them bullshiting and pay only after i begging for month!.. Wth! Well. that's also common Malaysian atitude.. Maybe this also happen to Josh Lim. Dealing with big company not as easy as you think too.. and don't you ever think all big company will 'just pay like that'.
Erm.. to be honest.. both Nuffnang and Advertlet itself is a revolution in our Malaysian Online Advertising scene.
But to be remind.. always... ATTITUDE is ABOVE ALL!

mysticmind: you SHOULD care what sites you advertise on because they give different results. For example, forums have low CTR (less than 1%) but high ad impressions thanks to repeat visitors (i.e. members). This is bad for advertisers paying CPM since my budget will run out quickly but I get less clicks.
Being in this line, my guess is that the local online advertising market is still immature thus they don't get many ads. And if it was me, I would've targeted ONLY the high-traffic blogs instead of opening to the majority since Perato's Law (i.e. 80:20) would like apply to the blogosphere as well.
This way, it's easier to sell the ads and you can provide better service to the bloggers.
I do agree with you.
btw.. laterly advertlets going worse!.
so far i concern.. if there's new ads.. the user will click to see 'what it is'.. but im there's always the same banner.. none of them will click..
and dont worry.. im not 'that kind of webmaster' those begging and praise their user to click the ads. That was unethical in anyway.
Why do they need to pay in impression?
Because IN BRANDING, what you have see as advertisement repeated everyday. You will remember it in your mind. In case they not sell product... it was BRANDING their company.
(let say.. every blog you enter.. you saw gua.com.my banner.. now you already remember it right?) So that's why they must pay for the impression.. same as adsense too.. Impression had their own 'Value'.
So.. Advertiser must act smart.. choose which site they can use impression, which site they can to use click.
Btw.. i was take down 1 of above advertlets banner in my forum.. only appear for guest.. NOT to the logged in member.. so impression dropped by 50%. its okay..(many guest browsing the forum reading something... tutorial etc..)
Sadly number 2, advertlets now got many bad feedback from all over the blog.. I remember.. at the first place.. advertlets above than nuffnang.. but now, nuffnang's seems counter the advertlets. And nufnang got many blue chip client too..
Yesterday.. There's 1 new story a friend of mine..
he currently had above than RM2K but still unpaid by advertlets..![]()
i push him to do post here.. let see later..

That's why I said that advertisers don't just advertise for the sake of traffic but have to pick and choose.
Ask yourself - what's the point of branding? It's to get sales in the end, i.e. it's all about the money. And why not go for CPC instead of CPM? With CPC, my ads still show for branding purposes but I only pay when someone clicks on it.
RM2,000? That's really bad. I'm not a publisher for either of them but I've met Nuffnang's owner in Singapore before and visited his office.
