    Help: Windows XP

    Saya ada beberapa soalan mengenai Windows XP.
    Begini, saya telah memasang Windows XP melalui CD Windows XP Professional tanpa SP1 & SP2.
    Persoalannya..

    1. Adakah saya perlu memasang Windows XP Service Pack 1 sebelum memasang Windows XP Service Pack 2 ?.
    2. Jika saya mengaktifkan Auto Updates, adakah sistem saya akan memuat turun SP1 & SP2 dan memasangnya secara automatik ?.

    Sebarang maklumat tambahan adalah sangat di alu-alukan.

    Tidak perlu memasang SP1 dulu, TERUS memasang SP2. SP2 sudahlah termasuk SP1.

    AutoUpdate akan memasang SP2.

    SP2 is good but I heard of many trouble after installing SP2. Is that true?

    Yeah, SP2 is a bit unstable, I never had any problems with XP before I installed SP2 and now my XP keeps crashing

    I totally have different experience. before SP2 i crash alot and after SP2 my system quite stable.

    does not has problem after upgraded to SP2, except that I disable the build in firewall and use my own choice of firewall software.

    ok guys..instead of starting a new thread......

    i have a prob too....

    i can't off my pc....

    u know..normally u go to start...shutdown...


    everything is ok until yesterday....cannot off the pc


    any ideas why this happens?

    cannot shut down pc? Where does it stop? "Now it is safe to shut down pc", or something like that? Or...?

    Normally...just click shutdown and automatically shut....but not so
    now...
    i have to press the reset button now

    Just to repeat LcF's question, where does your PC get stuck at? Did you click Shut Down but it didn't?

    btw, some old computers still stops at "Now it is safe to..." and require manual power down.

    Most shutdown problems are due to some programs or drivers not closing properly. Go to Task Manager and see if any application still running.

    Just to repeat LcF's question, where does your PC get stuck at? Did you click Shut Down but it didn't?
    yap...that's where it gets stuck...

    click the Start button>> turn off computer>> "standby" "turn of" "restart" (i chose turn off....as usual)>> and by now it's suppose to be turned off...

    but noooo...mine is still running

    i'm also have same problem with ckita. at last, i have to re-format my pc. the problem is, my pc is infected with Sasser Virus. demn!
