Question Some Questions regarding Website Design and Accessibility

    Hello everybody I'm new here..

I want to ask a few questions (it's for my research report assignment) I hope you guys don't mind

I am doing a research report on Malaysian Web Page Design and Accessibility.
Basically, my research is intended to find out about Malaysian Web Designers and how they go about in creating websites for their users.

    1. In your opinion, what is the role of a web designer?

    2. What are the steps that you take and your goals when you create a website? (you want to make it look good? accessible?)

    3. Do you think Malaysian Web Designers really consider in making their website accessible for all users ESPECIALLY those who are disabled such as hearing impaired, etc? What can a web designer do?

    4. Lastly, I'd like to have your opinion on Malaysian Website Designs in general.

I'd like to to say thanks for your time and effort in answering my questions in advance. I really appreciate it and hope to hear your opinions soon.

    Suzy

I hope that this is not a bad, late reply, but I'd try to anwswer those q's at my best knowledge. Bare in mind that I'm not a pro, but just another web enthusiast who really want to do this web stuff. <g>

    1. A web designer is someone who design information so that it would be available and accessible through the internet ( i guess).

    2. For me, I'd follow this method but not all the time. A website should look good, always. If it's about a bussiness, should potray the kind of bussiness the site owners' do. And, yeah, it should also be user- friendly and always accessible.

    3. I think not for now, maybe sometimes in the future. Web designers can design a web to be accessible for the special ones, but the client have to pay more. The programming part is a lil' bit complex for this one. Maybe that's why most web designers generally don't consider it.

    4. Hmm.. it's really hard to find a nice website in this country. We have to design one. What do you say?

Hope I've anwered your questions, but that's just a few of them. Maybe you should visit these site.

They're not local websites, but still worth a visit for your research.

    Good luck..
