Ordering stuff through the internet - successful?

We all know the internet is a good place to buy things. I mean physical things.

Have you ever tried to order physical stuff through the internet and succeeded in receiving it?

I'm asking because in cases like health supplements, it seems the customs will confiscate them. I wanted to get a typical health supplement which cannot be found in our stone age pharmacies, but can be found abundantly in other countries...but I'm afraid that the customs will seize them as is typical of our very backward country and authority mindset.

No need to talk much, our country is indeed very backward. Have any one of you ordered and succeeded and getting your product?

    Just curious.

Hmm...I guess no Malaysian buys physical stuff thru the net, especially from distant countries.

Looks like real E-commerce in Malaysia is also in the Stone Age level ~

Yes they do. You just need to find the way through.. Look at lelong.com.my for instance.. Most might not buy via credit card though but surely using other method like Maybank2u etc. Don't be surprised, their awareness level in regards to CC fraud via Internet is much higher than some other developed countries.. that's why even though they like to buy stuff online, but payment wise still conventionally done..

I myself have spent more than RM10K buying stuff online.. all delivered successfully..

    Cheers,

never bought medical related items before... but mostly these items will either be confiscated at the seller customs or our customs....

however i bought mostly non physical stuff like online mag membership, rare software dev tools... infact its preety save to use cc as u can always file a dispute within 60/90 days from the date of purchase....

its only the mindset of malaysian ppl that thing e-commerce is dangerous.....

hmm..medical stuff thru online? can't find it in any hospital or pharmacy?

i've a bad habit which is shopping online. i bought alot of stuff online. expecially thru lowyat.net and lelong. so far i didn't encounter any fraud (yes there's still a high risk). hmm..maybe not expensive items anyway. the highest i bought is around RM1.2K. it;s one of my guitar. Bought it from International ebay and the item originally located in US. kinda worried tho at the first time but maybe i'm lucky enuf to receive it. customs and taxes, yes you need to pay it for item above RM500 (and also above somekind of weight measurement). if dun want pay these guys, then buy the item in malaysia instead.

shopping online, first of all becareful from who you;re buying it. to play safe, buy from a highly good rated (without any negative comments and review from others). if it's a from a shop website, at least make sure the product/brands/company is quite well-known. not some misc company that pops out from anywhere. then, just pray that you won't get scammed. hehehhe... better, if you can COD< just COD instead.

but health and medicals supplies... i don;t realy know much about these kind of stuffs. so can;t recommend you anything.

i've always been skeptical about purchasing stuff online, especially when it comes to clothes. but, just for the benefit of the doubt, i have purchased perfumes online via lelong.com.my previously and it was successful

    Beware of scammer

    Even lelong.com.my got scammers.
make sure you really know about the sellers.
    check their reputations and reviews.
but even scammers can build reputation higher with fake buyers(friends) just to get big fish.

    just be careful.
