Be a food hawker or webmaster/developer, which is better?

I saw many food hawkers earn a lot, hence afford to buy luxury cars and big houses, e.g. Char Koew Teow Full Time RM7000-9000

I also hear that food hawkers behind the scene are also not so easy. They need to prepare early.

Software has software development life cycle.
Integrated system (hardware+software) has system development life cycle.

    So the food do have.

Preparing raw materials, cleaning after closing the stall is part of the selling food life cycle.

Seeing them in action to sell the food is part of the selling food life cycle.

What is your thought to be a food hawker rather than a webmaster?

    Sure...likely declare low income tax.

Yar... Need to work for long hours to sell the food to customers because the more you sell, the more you earn.

Some even leverage on foreign workers. The boss could be relaxing at home, while the workers take care of the stall.

yes true....in penang i used to go to this night hawker stall and see the this CKT seller doing brick business....in a day he sells around 100 - 200 ckt (RM2.50 each) thats 250 to 500 a day income....she have one maid helper to do the cleaning and serving and cashier job, the owner just cook only....

but of course work need to start early and finish around midnite..but ok maaa...no need to dress professional like IT Exec, less model to start and small working space and maybe daily rental to the shop owner, no need to worry about going late to work and fear of lossing the job...still end of the she makes better income that normal working people. Own boss n work as u like...and eat free...

Actually the outside business (non Web) is still paying a lot better than almost all webmaster jobs if you think about it.

Webmasters face a lot of risks also...Google is now known to actively ban all kinds of websites from their index and premium Adsense publishers...even 6 figure earners got banned. And they dont give reasons.

Many of the biggest billionaires now - none of them are involved in web business. Sometimes I wonder if its better to start an offline business rather than online...

Telcos, shipping, pharmaceuticals, natural resources like oil...are the biggest. The Saudis dont bother about slogging on the internet, hehe..(I almost never see any Saudis webmasters online by the way)

I think Bill Gates is no longer top, he was overtaken by Carlos Slim who is now worth about 60 billion. Carlos Slim is a telco tycoon from Mexico. Telcos are very big business!!!.

'Real business' is always bigger...no matter how big the web gets, because the bigger the web, the more competition...so it also gets harder to earn decent money from the internet - which means harder for all genuine webmasters. Also lots of scamming goes on because its easier to scam on the web, right?

Just always useful to keep things in perspective. A lot of people may get the wrong idea about web business. All you need to do is look at the scale - web vs non web

Anyone want to start char koay teow business? )

With a hawker you can receive cash everyday and no people know how much you earn per day... unless the tax people sit infront yout stall and count your earning lo~

If chosen to be a food hawker, which food is the best profitable yet more easily managed?
