    PLease advise =(

    hi guys,

i am trying to set my 2checkout account wire transfer currency to USD but failed... i have called maybank HQ and hong leong bank HQ to ask about their New York corresponding bank routing number.. but none of them able to give me the number..they said they only have the swift code not routing number..

i am wondering how some people in malaysia able to TT the money from 2CO to local bank account in USD since our local banks do not have the routing number required by 2CO when changing the bank info setting ?

could anyone who knows about this share with me how to get it done ? the conversion rate from Fifth Third Bank to other foreign currecies are extremely low ( i think about 3% lower than market value),, last month 2CO remit USD680 to my HLB (i set the currecy as SGD).. guess what, their exchange rate for SGD was 1.5879 per unit.. (That is toOOoOOo low !!)... besides of the low conversion rate, i also lost SGD10 for nothing,, nobody from 2CO could asnwer where is this money gone... that is not good =(

i want to transfer the money(USD) directly to my local account so i wun lose too much in conversion (USD -> SGD -> RM).. but how could i do that ?

i really need some experts advices here..

    thanks.

That's what I don't like about maybank. Use EON or BCB instead. Actually it's quite ok just to use swift code as long as you have the HQ phone number.

May be you can request cheque instead of wired transfer? To transfer directly to malaysia bank is a lot better, coz now ringgit is tag to USD, if to other currency, what you get might be lesser, as US dollar has drop quite a lot recently.

    Ronan,

I get checks from my online business and deposit them into
my banks. It takes weeks to clear the checks. If you can
wait that long, it's fine. You can request for checks.

I also do TT from US to Malaysia. I deal with HSBC. The
process should be straight forward. Use the SWIFT code
as your routing number. That will do it, and the conversion
rate is based on the day your fund is transferred.

At least at HSBC, I don't get charged by the bank. The only
charge is the TT fee from the States.

    Hope this helps a bit.
