    Is it MYNIV problem? Or mine?

    I just started to migrate my websites from one host to another recently.

    This is what I did,
    backup from old server, transfer to new server, restore backup.
    Then, update nameserver for domains.
    This should be a correct procedure, as all international domains have no problem transferring.

    BUT, what's weird is, all .my domains become inaccessible after I changed the nameserver at MYNIC website.
    I wonder is this is the so-called domain propagation period, since today is day 2 already.
    Domains can't even be ping-ed.

    Is this normal?

    FYI, philippe-creations.com and phil.my are hosted at the same server.
    In fact, phil.my is a parked domain of philippe-creations.com.
    .com is working perfectly fine, but .my is not accessible, and not ping-able.

    I think this is to do with your nameservers. Check on ns3.zeroii.com and ns4.zeroii.com. Cannot ping to both.

    Those nameserver are custom nameserver registered at namecheap.
    I contacted namecheap, and they say I have to setup A records on my hosting provider.
    zeroii.com is hosted using directadmin, and so in the DNS management, do I set something like this?

    Name Type Value
    ns3.zeroii.com A 202.190.181.82
    ns4.zeroii.com A 202.190.181.83

    Yes, you need those A records. Check carefully how ns1 and ns2 is already setup there. Follow exactly for ns3 and ns4.
    Pay attention to if there is a fullstop / dot after the name. That is, check whether it is set as:
    ns1.zeroii.com
    or
    ns1.zeroii.com.

    Follow for ns3 and ns4.

    ok ya there are dots at the end, thanks for reminding.
    I set ns1 ns2 ns3 and ns4 (apparently ns1 and ns2 aren't previously set too),
    ns1 and ns2 had resolved very quickly, but ns3 and ns4 still can't be ping-ed.

    Could it be I the ns A record must be on the same server?
    Because ns3 and ns4 are actually in another server.

    FYI,
    ns1.zeroii.com = 202.190.70.204
    ns2.zeroii.com = 202.190.70.205
    server IP = 202.190.70.204

    ns3.zeroii.com = 202.190.181.82
    ns4.zeroii.com = 202.190.181.83
    server IP = 202.190.181.82
    Or maybe I should just wait for propagation?

    It all looks ok now. All accessible. Clear your browser cache or PC cache and try again if you are having problems.

    Although the nameservers aren't ping-able,
    the .my domain had resolved...

    phil.my is accessible now. I wonder...
    Maybe it was MYNIC's problem after all.

    Just to check, where did you add the ns3 and ns4? The ns3 and ns4 A records need to be added to the zeroii.com DNS zone file on the 202.190.70.204 server where zeroii.com is hosted.

    Yeap, on the server where zeroii.com is hosted.
    Thanks for the replies. Unlike my domain registrar, MYNIC, and hosting providers, you're way more helpful.
    Thanks a lot.

    I think you got it setup correctly now. I can ping ns1to ns4 and also phil.my. Test after a few hours and a couple of days to make sure all is ok. It wasn't MYNIC, it was the missing ns3 and ns4 A records. Glad you got it resolved.

    Domain propagation will take up to 72 hours. so if after 5 days, u still get nothing, confirm is something wrong, maybe you can start contacting them after day 3 or 4.
