I think wordpress and bloggers are the market leader. Some others that were not mentioned are Movabletype, Typepad (paid), and Xanga. Oh, not to mention our Exabytes' iloveblog.com too.
for me, wordpress is good enough. I saw many "budak sekolah" use blogdrive or bloggers. Why aa??
y opinion is blogger is easy to use or I don't know if wordpress is easy to use but I frequently use HTML add-on at my blog. So since Blogger have the add-on and is easy to mantain...I always open blog that use Wordpress and seems their blog quite messy...so I rather choose Blogger...
btw what do you mean by "budak sekolah"?

I'm a Wordpress fanboy, however, Wordpress.com offers limited abilities on their free service. It's good for starters, but bad for those who opt for "earn money while blogging on a free service". Blogger is great, and it offers great customizability, suitable for those beginners and advance users. I would only recommend those 2 out of many free service out there. Haven't tried exabyte's free blog hosting though
For me, to practice(posting, design, modified), better used blogger and if you're really serious on blogging I'd recommend you wordpress.
There are some advantage and advantages using these services.
For example, Blogger/blogspot is under Google, so it's will be getting fast index in their search result. While wordpress is not.
Besides, due to the categorized issue, I think that wordpress is much more better. Blogger just have a very limited widget to improve the category section in blogger. They only have label.
hmm..maybe I'll tell you some more later..hehe

at the first time of blogging i use blogger because so many people use blogger..than I use wordpress until now.anyway blogger is cool because under Google.

I would vote for wordpress.com, IF their hosted service offers more power to the user. Wordpress.com doesn't offer much customizability in terms of templating and design, unless you pay. It is restricted to what is installed and the widgets.
Therefore, my vote go to blogger
Ohhh...u mean blogging platform.
Anyway, I use Blogger and also Wordpress (on my own domain) ... no idea abt the rest.
I think Wordpress is better tho. Well, maybe it's because I host it on my own domain and able to modify the php codes anyway I like
