    rss... how to apply

    hi,
    i'm creating a new website now, just a simple cms site
    i would like to know how do i apply rss feed for my website. I do not know much about rss thing
    do i create an additional .xml/.rss file linked to my website or aplpy some embedded xml code in my website instead?
    how often these information need to get refreshed/update

    Hi Robot,

    Which CMS are you using? Almost all of the open source CMS comes with the RSS Feed plugin/built-in you can use.

    i'm not using any cms. its just a simple site that i code myself so i wonder how i can apply rss feed feature on it

    i'm interested in RSS since it can spread things faster.

    there is an example of creating a rss feed script with php mysql in this thread.
    but all blog programs/ cms already fitted with rss feed or even atom.

    if you are trying to get your feed validated at feedvalidator.org I advise you just dont bother about it. most blogs failed to get validate by the validator.

    just try to read you feed from those feed submission site where you submit your feed. it usually have no problem reading your feed

    This is unusual, i cannot read my rss even using feed submission site.

    I have just posted an entry in my blog and now I have this semi colon error in my feed.
    I still have no idea how to fix my feed though

    Ah, It seems that the xml does not parse the '&' sign.. wasted me hours of time fixing my entry.. dung
