It's important to set out some goals when developing a blog. It doesn't have to be exact but a rough idea of where you want your blog to be in 3, 6 or 12 months time is a good idea. This allows you to set out how you are going to achieve those goals.
It's also important to go back and reflect every now and then too. If you have reached or exceeded the level you wanted to be at, give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate your success with your readers.
If you haven't, then try and figure out what went wrong. Did you not spend enough time on your blog, did your original strategies for promotion not work etc
Doing so will allow you to re-evaluate your current situation and will let you adjust your plans and long term goals.
So, is your blog growing at the rate you want it to?
